Batam Eats (January 2018)

Went on a short family vacay in Batam on the first day of 2018 (3 Day 2 Nights) and these are some of the eats we partaketh of, including in-house breakfast, snacks bought from Circle K, and some non-descript eatery around our hotel, which do not recommend at all, and yummy food at neighbouring malls (much recommended). Not at all a "foodie getaway" - waaaaay different than an earlier experience and place too ... and they tasted as banal as they looked LOL

Lunch at Wendy’s??? It’s also a public holiday here in Batam, and the crowds are out in droves, and you’ll never be able to escape kids crying and shouting whenever or wherever you go haha hope everyone is enjoying the hold tho! Happy to see happy families and faces :) #henglifebatam2018

Sorted myself out with snacks and a packet of #tehbotol! Miss the glass bottles version when I was in Bandung 2009 - shook with rokok, eh @marine_ramdhani ? Hahahaha And these are the guys I brought along with me. They are getting less attention from folks here than my one-lens pair of specs hahahaha .#henglifebatam2018

Waited for this since the last time I was in Batam, and I was not disappointed: Kambing with teriyaki sauce - so sedap! Strong kambing flavour and I like it! *burp* #henglifebatam2018 #eatlife
